First public agility!

Our agility group (Springers) were demonstrating at Honley Show at the weekend and as the puppy class has been going for 5 lessons now they asked if we would come along to show how amazing our pups were!

Needless to say Tilly was amazing - Jon however got very lost on what was a very complicated course with 4 puppys going around at once!

"Still not certain about the see saw"

"Which way now dad"

We only had one lapse when Tilly decided that someone stood outside of the ring looker far more exciting than the sack tunnel - but we soon got back on course.
The more advanced dogs were amazing and we are looking forwards to more days like this to come.

All credit to Rach for the piccies!

Our vet has never had a springer...

So Rachel and I had a rare weekend off together so we decided to take Tilly to Ingleton to go on a nice waterfall walk.

Tilly had a lovely time - playing with lots of other dogs and people we met.

When we got home she slept for a while before doing some search training training which invariably involves her clambering over sofas in search for colin (the cow!). On this particular evening we noticed a trail of blood following her clambering and on examining her paws found quite a nasty cut in one of her pads.

Of to the vet we went who bandaged it all up and told us to keep the bandage dry and all would be well in a couple of weeks. Tilly was not amused! After about a week she realised that she could quite easily take the nasty bandage off and make it into a pile of bandage bits. Several trips to the vets and several piles of bandage bits later the vet proclaims that her foot in nearly healed and she is going to give up re bandaging it - however "Tilly is not to go out for walks for 5 days". Now anyone that has owned a young Springer would know this is crazy talk - without constant exercise and entertainment they get - well destructive!

I struggle to move that mattress on my own - Tilly obviously didn't like it being positioned on the bed! Never mind not long to go now.
